Future Aviation, Future Space
Review of the 18th German Aerospace Regions Day in Munich
On September 18, 2024, the 18th German Aerospace Regions Day took place at the Munich Residenz. Under the motto "Future.Aviation, Future.Space, Future.SME: Turning Point," the conference focused on key future issues of sustainability, digitalization, and transformation.
The conference program was preceded in the morning by a company visit to Deutsche Aircraft GmbH at the Oberpfaffenhofen Special Airport, where participants gained fascinating insights into efforts to make air transport more climate-friendly. This visit was both inspiring and gave a powerful glimpse into how the industry is moving towards the future.
The hosts—the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLi e.V.), and bavAIRia e.V.—enabled us to reconnect with familiar faces, forge new connections, and collaboratively shape the future of the industry.
High-ranking speakers, such as Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger and the Federal Government Coordinator for Aerospace, Dr. Anna Christmann, MdB, provided valuable insights with their contributions.
The event was rounded off by a state reception in the Kaisersaal, giving us the great chance to further expand our networks. Overall, the day vividly demonstrated the importance of collaboration to ensure that the aerospace industry is well-prepared for the future.
